Submitting Your Loan To Underwriting

Once you are in contract on a purchase, or when your file is complete on a refinance, the file is submitted to underwriting.

The underwriter is the person who reviews everything in the file to make sure the loan meets the guidelines.  Sometimes additional information is requested from the borrower or about the property.

It is important to provide any requested information as promptly as possible to avoid delay in obtaining approval.
